TRAVEL LIKE A PRO

A well packed suitcase and carry on luggage will have you traveling like a pro! We don’t all have the luxury of being able to fly business class but it doesn’t mean it will ruin the rest of your travel. Ultimately it doesn’t matter how you got there, if your organised and have all your essentials at hand you will be sorted!

The Carry On
The essentials: a good size handbag (even place your smaller travel bag inside to save space!), compact camera, laptop (if you choose to work while you travel) and all your prized possessions i.e. jewellery – at least if something goes wrong with your luggage at least you haven’t lost everything! Also even if you are traveling to summer weather always pack a light jacket – sometimes the inflight blanket doesn’t make the cut!

A small beauty pack:
Tissues
Lip balm
Tooth brush/toothpaste
Eye drops
Concealer
Bronzer
Deodorant

Things to keep you occupied
Inflight entertainment is always pretty good and I love catching up with back to back movies or TV shows. But I always pack a book just in case! Take an iPod or put all your fave tunes on your iPhone to help tune you out from the ‘plane noise’ (or crying kids!) and to allow you to relax and get some much needed z’s. (Remember to always pack your USB cable as some airlines have a dock o charge).

The Suitcase
I’m always pretty organised when it comes to packing but when work gets a little hectic planning outfits is the last things your mind. Pending if you are traveling in the winter or summer months will determine the amount of clothes you can fit in! (25-30kg doesn’t take long to fill up, you want to have some space in there too for purchases of course!)

Main travel items to consider:
Shoes – Leather Boots or covered in shoe – for winter for obvious reasons but in summer too a pair of ankle boots are great to wear with a dress or shorts or to dress up a dinner outfit.

Runners – you will be walking everywhere, some days more than others. So you need a really comfy pair of shoes to get you around.

Sliders (summer only) is great because they are nice and light but super easy to slip on when your having a ‘can’t be bothered’ moment.

Clothes
You want to take clothes that give you loads of options! Jeans are your best friend – black, blue, ripped, cut offs … They will work with anything!
Lots of tops – basic tees (in every color) and shirts are so versatile.
Skirts/shorts – for the warmer days
Accessories – I always take a larger carry on which is great because it fits all your essentials but for days out and about when traveling you want a good small leather shoulder bag that you can wear in front of you (or even under your coat!) … Nothing worse than a handbag that’s awkward or too heavy. Also pack a few essential jewellery pieces, rings, bracelets and a couple of necklaces, after all outfit repeating a few times along your trip a bit of a change in jewellery will make your outfit that little bit different.

When it comes to packing your suitcase I always tend to pack all my clothes in the covered/zipped section of the case so everything doesn’t make a mess when it’s in transit. Place your heavy items (jeans and toiletries) to the bottom of your case, that way when you stand your case up the heavy things don’t squash whats underneath. Also make “rolling” your clothes your only option. You will fit loads more in and you can always find your clothes easily laid out this way. The other side of your case is perfect for shoes and those other items that doesn’t matter if it goes rolling around!

Hope some of this tips help you out on your next travels! Travel like a pro!
Love to know where everyone is off to next!

Happy travels xxx
