Suited up

Having recently attended the launch of Olga Berg’s Spring Racing Collection, I decided to get ‘suited up’ in a more relaxed version of a two piece blazer and trousers. Of course sticking to my monochrome wardrobe theme I paired black tailored straight leg pants with a boxed shaped blazer with a little detail paneling to create more of an evening look with a little masculine edge. I put  this look together with a simple grey tee for a more relaxed, ‘carefree’ approach, yet still formal enough for an event. Accessories are a must when you are in a quite structured look and create a more feminine touch, I wore a some statement navy pony haired mules, lots of silver rings, a long chain necklace and a classic textured clutch.

Tips to wearing a relaxed suit:
Always fit your blazer to the width of your shoulders
Pair slim cropped pants with a boyfriend or box shaped blazer
Wear a t-shirt instead of a shirt
Make it more feminine – wear a statement heel
Push your sleeves up – don’t roll them
If its winter layer on top of your layers – drape a coat over your shoulders
Try wide-leg or cropped flares for a more dramatic silhouette
Style for the weekend with a pair of sneakers
