SURPRISE DISGUISE

This year, whilst trying to be super organised with my Christmas shopping, I’ve decided to play some sneaky surprises on family and friends by disguise packaging their gifts. We have all had fun trying to guess presents in the past that we receive based on how they are wrapped, or had a family member take a peek (or shake) of a gift placed under the Christmas tree. This year its time to save the surprise until the very last minute!

To add to the interest and excitement of receiving a present I plan to deceive them by using Australia Post’s disguise packaging. With the ‘Designer Decoy’ and ‘The Total Mystery’ boxes you can place any shape object inside and they will never guess what it is, making the surprise that much more special and enjoyable.

To have them really guessing, I have used Australia Posts ‘Xpress Wrapping Kit’ along with a decoy packaging shape. This totally familiar and well known shape, the Cadbury Favourites box, will have them thinking they know exactly what they have received, but surprisingly I have placed all their ‘favourite’ cosmetic products inside. The perfect trick to play on family and friends, who no doubt will be thinking that they have just received yet another box of chocolates! Even after opening the package they will assume that chocolates await inside. Odds on, they will be pleasantly surprised to find they have been tricked and that its not just the usual chocolates inside! I have also created another ‘Surprise Disguise’ with a large block of Toblerone and filled it inside with makeup – it will have any make-up-loving-chocoholic deceived and surprised at the same time!

Tips and Tricks to Disguise Package your gifts
– use a decoy shaped package to hide the real shape of the gift.
– wrap the gift with unusual wrapping paper, like the ‘Rod’s Reels Wrapping Kit’, and you will have them second-guessing!
-place some coins inside your gift box and the noise (with a sneaky shake) will keep what’s inside an even bigger mystery!
– or place some extra weight in a gift box, if your present is lightweight, and they will assume that something completely different is inside.
