BREAKFAST AT HIGHPOINT

I recently attended breakfast at Highpoint – Electrics Fields event to mark the Level One casual dining precinct opening. Featuring the ultimate environment for ‘urban gastronomy’ this precinct is perfect for shoppers to relax in and enjoy a diverse range of authentic Asian restaurants in this impressive architecturally designed space. Arriving to the new Level One stage in style, with fellow blogger Jessica Alizzi, by none other than a rickshaw! Hosted by Highpoint Ambassator Nadia Bartel, our exclusive taste of all five Asian cuisines on offer had us eating endless amounts of dumplings, fried chicken, ramen and custard buns – and yes all for breakfast! Highpoint’s precinct features six new restaurants that explore various Asian cuisines including: Malaysian – Roti Road, Korean -NeNe Chicken, Japanese – Ajisen Ramen, Vietnamese – Saigon Square, Chinese -Dumplings Plus and Tina’s Noodle Kitchen. As a frequent shopper at Highpoint I will be sure to head back to get a taste of all these amazing cuisines, of course after a good amount of shopping at the over 500 retailers.

Enough about food! Now on to the fashion! I wore these Witchery easy to wear and ‘oh so versatile’ tie waist pants. A statement piece in itself, but subtle enough to be one of those classic style pants you can wear all year round. Some of us don’t have the luxury of having both a work and weekend wardrobe, so finding pieces like this you can mix and match in a more corporate dress or make it relaxed for the weekend is key. Having these quality basics will have you putting effortless looking outfits together with pieces from your existing wardrobe with ease.

For work:
Treat your pants like a tailored structured pant
Wear a buttoned up white shirt
A fine knit jumper (Hint: Navy!)
Pair with open (or closed) pumps or boots
Layered with a trench

For the weekend:

Treat your pants as if they were boyfriend jeans
Wear a simple white tee
Denim or leather jacket
Pair with Converse Chucks or Adidas Originals

What I wore:
Tie Waist Pant – Witchery
Navy Cashmere Jumper – Uniqlo
Eastern Jetta Black Boots – Tony Bianco
Proenza Schouler Ps11 – Net-A-Porter
