TRAVELLING COSMETICS

The hardest part about travelling, apart from the limited wardrobe choices fitting inside your suitcase, is packing only the essentials in your makeup bag. I usually overlook this until the last minute and realise that a full makeup bag of cosmetics, foundations and eyeshadows is totally unnecessarily. The best and easiest way of cutting down on makeup for travel is using products that do more than one thing and only taking the products you will actually use!

For my trip to New York I have been very frivolous with both makeup and skincare essentials, so I hope this will help you lighten up your packing and make you rethink that overflowing makeup bag on your next trip.

2-in-1 makeup uses:

Foundation – as an everyday coverage with SPF, whether on a summer trip or winter it’s so important to protect your skin from the elements.

Bronzer – Use this as a light powder for extra coverage or as contouring powder. Add some extra depth to your face, apply to your cheekbones, hairline and jawline. Bronzer is also a great eyeshadow, for that bronzed natural look, build up lightly with a soft brush.

Brow Pencil – ideal when it has a 2-in-1 with a spoolie brush on the end, compact and convenient.

Eye Cream – just because it’s for night doesn’t mean it can’t be used during the day. Great for when on a flight and keeping hydrated, but I also use it as a primer for my eyes and under eyes to set my concealer for the day ahead.
